The Civic Engagement Committee is sponsoring a cocktail hour Holiday Decorating Demonstration on Thursday, November 18, 2021. The event is scheduled to take place at SCC from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. This event will be open to SWC members and their guests.
Light hors d’oeuvres will be served (included in the cost of the event) and a cash/member sign-in bar will be available. We will begin the event with some social time to enjoy the food and cocktails followed by a holiday decorating presentation by Meghan Hadley, a professional holiday home decorator. Meghan’s presentation will focus on tips for decorating trees and mantles followed by a time for questions.
Meghan will bring two pencil trees to decorate and SWC member Janine Wagers will provide a freestanding mantle from the Universal Furniture showroom to be decorated.
The cost for the event will be $20 per person. This is a break even event and not intended to be a fundraiser. RSVPs and payment for this event are due by November 10 so that we can get a final headcount to SCC. RSVPs and payment by cash or check made out to SWC will go to Ana Atwater.
The Christmas fundraising committee will also use this event to advertise for our upcoming Christmas Luncheon and introduce some of the silent auction items. Meghan has graciously offered to donate an in home holiday decorating session for our auction! Meghan will have her personal business flyers available at the event for anyone interested in booking her services for their home.
